Esu dressed as a boy and went to Orunmila for divination. The consultation came to Elegbara (ESU) that should be initiated into Ifa so he could align his spirit and that all things were ok for him. He had told Orunmila he had no parents.Esu was an orphan, had no money, had no material possessions or anything. Orunmila went to ask for a loan and left one of his sons on the farm of a rich person to carry work until he could pay the debt Orunmila then went to the market and bought all the materials needed for initiation.
They were over 7 days by initiation. Having done all offers and rituals, unknown boy (Esu) went to the palace of Alara in the village of Ilar which was facing a very difficult problem at that time. Esu told the King to contact Orunmila rapidly. The King commanded to find Orunmila whom made divination and told the king the materials must be used to perform the appropriate rituals and ebo.
Orunmila returned with many gifts and merchandise and did the same in the town of Ijero, in the village of Ajero and then later in the town of Ila Orangun.
Esu then returned Orunmila s where I was at day 17 after initiation but this time in his real form and explain to Orunmila that was the young stranger that he started and that he had contacted about 20 days ago and that he had been to these places to represent Ornumila and asked if he had paid Orunmila the loan he had requested. He told Orunmila the Odu of Ifa Ogbe Irosun is enough for every priest of Ifa knows its primary functions and to help those in need.
